Summary

We only collect the information necessary to provide the service: your email (used for magic-link login), basic usage metadata, and the content you voluntarily enter into the Prompt Builder to help us improve features and better understand content needs. We do not collect passwords or other personal details by default.

What we collect

• Email: Collected when you sign up or log in via magic link. Used to authenticate you and send magic links.
• Show Prompt (Prompt Builder): When you complete the "Show Prompt" form we record the inputs you submit and the date/time they were submitted in our database. This helps us understand what problems creators face and improve prompts and templates.
• Activity logs: Basic events (first login, etc.) are stored for analytics and debugging.

How we use the data

• Authentication: emails are used to provide passwordless magic-link sign-in.
• Product improvement: Prompt Builder inputs and usage events help us prioritize features and create better templates.
• Public analytics: aggregated template popularity metrics are available to authenticated users to help the community discover useful templates.

Security

We follow reasonable security practices for storing and transmitting your email and event data. We do not store passwords. Authentication is handled via magic links and Supabase authentication. Access to production secrets is limited and logs are monitored to reduce abuse.

Third-party services

We use Supabase for authentication and database hosting, and Resend to send transactional emails (such as magic‑link sign-in emails). These providers have their own privacy practices; we only share the minimum data they require to operate the service (typically your email address and basic event data).

Email delivery and limits

We send magic‑link sign‑in emails and other transactional messages using third‑party providers such as Supabase Auth and Resend. These services have sending limits (for example, daily email caps on some plans). In rare cases, if those limits are reached or their infrastructure is temporarily unavailable, your magic‑link email may be delayed or fail to arrive. If that happens, you can try again later or contact us at jethropanobermejo@gmail.com for help.

Communication & updates

If you create an account, we may use your email to send you:

• Service‑related messages (magic‑link logins, security notices, changes to the product or this policy), and
• Occasional updates about new features, templates, or offers related to Octopus Prompt.

You can opt out of non‑essential promotional emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us.

Children’s data

Octopus Prompt is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 years old. If you believe a minor has created an account or provided personal data, contact us at jethropanobermejo@gmail.com so we can delete it.

Data retention & deletion

If you want your data removed, contact us at jethropanobermejo@gmail.com. We'll respond with instructions to remove your profile and associated events.
